Nike Idea Lab painting with Que & Jun

The boys just finished two days on the Nike campus creating a beautiful piece for the Idea Lab.

Great opening last night. For a couple guys who don't speak a lot of English they did alright with all the people that want to chat them up. Aftewards they did an amazing painting at Yes&No.... Thanks to everyone that came out to both events.

Hana To Diamond Tonight at Compound

Opening this Thursday is Hana to Diamond featuring Houxo Que and Jun Inoue from Tokyo Japan. Join us for an exhibition of contemporary, organic, geometric painting from Tokyo Japan. Reception starts @ 6.
Come by Yes and No (next to the Tube in Old Town) and check the guys live painting @ 10:30.

Questa and Jun in Portland

Questa and Jun arrived in Portland last week in preparation for their show at Compound.
By this Thursday the gallery should be transformed into a brand new experience. Black light painting, fluorescent paint, geometric and organic shapes................

Mochitsuki and the grasshopper

Mochitsuki celebration was on Sunday. Mochi pounding, taiko, traditional dance and break dancing. The organizers did an exceptional job.
This little grasshopper is by artist Brian Elliot. He just finished it. It's a companion piece for a vintage 50's Studebaker. Brian will also be contributing a piece for the April show at Compound titled "Triptych".

After Hours - PDX after dark photo show

A group photography show with Arian Stevens, Thuy Duong-le, Brian Reynolds, Kimi Kolba, Sam Brosnan, Dominik Kruger and Mike Crocker. The photographers were asked to photograph Portland after everyone goes to sleep and the shops are closed. Opens this Thursday at 7pm.
